The house is located in the Sombrero Beach area of Marathon at mile marker fifty. It is on a small island that has forty building lots, twenty seven of which have homes. There is an eighteen month moratorium on building right now, so it is not likely anything else will be built soon. As you can see by the pictures, it is located on a large body of water that is formed by the meeting of three canals. There is a dock and beach access to the water in our backyard.

It was built in 1979 and has been remodeled several times. It has an apartment on the first level with a bedroom, bathroom, and small kitchen. Perfect for all the "guests" we expect to have and look forward to entertaining.

We did close on the house September 12th! Adrienne got the part of Martha in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" in the Marathon Community Theater production starting January 8th, and we purchased a Regulator 26' two weeks after we came down at the end of October! Furniture is coming (although slowly) and landscaping started Dember 1st. We've only been here a little over a month but alot has happened, and all of it has been great. Looks like we made the right choice.
